Delburn Wind Farm Update

Geotechnical Works

Over the next few weeks, you may see preliminary works being undertaken at the Delburn Wind Farm site. Specialist workers will be doing geotechnical and survey work in the plantation and along the road reserves at Creamery Road, Smiths Road, Golden Gully Road, Deans Road, Varys Track and at the intersections of the Strzelecki Highway.

Works involve using a small drilling rig and excavator to extract soil samples to inform the civil design for the wind farm access roads and foundations. The works are being delivered under the supervision of our Cultural Heritage monitors from the Gunaikurnai Land and Waters Aboriginal Corporation (GLaWAC). All works comply with the approved Cultural Heritage Management Plan, Planning Permits, Health and Safety Policy and Environmental Protection Plans.

Traffic controllers and speed restrictions may be required to ensure the safety of our investigations team during this process. Please follow all traffic restrictions when driving through the area as workers from Regional Roads Victoria, HVP and other industries are also working in the area.  The OSMI team are happy to answer any questions you may have or direct you to the appropriate organisation if your questions relate to their works. Email [email protected] or call 1800 676 428
