Delburn Wind Farm Community Pre-Development Grants Open Again

The Delburn Wind Farm Community Pre-Development Grants will open for applications on Monday 14 October 2024 to help local groups make a difference in their communities.

Non-for-profit groups located around the wind farm site can apply for a grant. A total of $10,000 is available to be shared across local projects and initiatives that strengthen and enhance the community.

Mr Peter Marriott, Executive Director Development at OSMI Australia said: “Since 2020, the Delburn Wind Farm has awarded over $40,100 in Pre-Development Grants to community groups to help boost local connections, health and the environment.

“The Delburn Wind Farm Pre-Development Grants are one way of showing our support for our neighbours and to help community groups achieve their goals.”

Applications will be viewed favourably if they contribute to the following:

  • Build sustainable communities
  • Enhance community safety, health and wellbeing
  • Support community education
  • Enhance the natural environment.

Applications for the Pre-Development Grants open on Monday 14 October and close on Sunday 24 November, 2024. Successful applicants will be announced at the start of December, 2024.

Community Benefits Fund to increase when construction starts

Construction of the Delburn Wind Farm is scheduled to start in the first quarter of 2025.

Once underway, the Community Development Fund will increase to around $150,000 per year ($750 per megawatt installed), assisting the community to bring bigger ideas to life.
