Employment at Delburn Wind Farm

Many roles will be created across the planning, construction and operational phases. A minimum of 186 full-time roles will be available during the two-year construction period and 24 jobs during the 30-year operational life of the wind farm.

We are committed to employing local people as much as possible and procuring local businesses. We are pleased to be able to continue the Latrobe Valley’s proud history of energy generation by providing employment opportunities in wind power.

Many indirect jobs will be created to support the delivery of the supply work, boosting the economy of towns across Gippsland. This will include roles in supply chain, food and catering, accommodation, transport, cleaning, freight, safety and security, telecommunications, fencing, waste management, IT, fuel, water cartage, truck driving, equipment hire, welding and engineering fabrication, mechanical fitting and maintenance, earthworks, concrete pumping, cable trench and directional drilling.

We are working with local training and education providers to facilitate appropriate pathways to employment in the renewable energy industry.
