{"id":7099,"date":"2023-08-25T16:04:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-25T06:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/delburnwindfarm.au\/?p=7099"},"modified":"2023-08-25T16:08:08","modified_gmt":"2023-08-25T06:08:08","slug":"further-update-planning-permit-amendment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/delburnwindfarm.au\/prod\/further-update-planning-permit-amendment\/","title":{"rendered":"Further Update &#8211; Planning Permit Amendment"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"7099\" class=\"elementor elementor-7099\" data-elementor-post-type=\"post\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-5e483eb2 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"5e483eb2\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-3921e99c elementor-invisible\" data-id=\"3921e99c\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\" data-settings=\"{&quot;animation&quot;:&quot;fadeInLeft&quot;}\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-76ecec41 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"76ecec41\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Further to our update earlier this week, we have now received correspondence from the Department of Transport and Planning that the Minister\u00a0will not make a decision on the Delburn Wind Farm Planning Permit Amendment application before\u00a0<strong>18 September, 2023<\/strong>.<br \/><br \/>The applications request\u00a0minor amendments to the wording of several of the Planning Permit conditions\u00a0to improve understanding and interpretation, as well as ensuring the enforceability of the permit requirements.<br \/><br \/>Specific proposed amendments to the conditions include:\u00a0<\/p><ul><li>Clarifying the wind turbine setback distances from the Strzelecki Highway<\/li><li>Making minor changes to the Bushfire Risk and Mitigation conditions to remove any uncertainty in what the conditions mean and how they are to be applied including:<ul><li>Clarifying that five water tanks are required in aggregate across all elements of the Delburn Wind Farm site<\/li><li>Removing a condition in each planning permit regarding perimeter fire breaks. (This requirement is part of the CFA guidelines for solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), not wind energy facilities.) These proposed changes have been agreed to by the CFA.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Updating the Latrobe Planning Permit in accordance with AusNet\u2019s revised position on minimum setback distance between wind turbines and transmission lines. AusNet has confirmed its support for this revised requirement.<\/li><li>Clarifying that only dwellings that exist at the date of the approval of the off-site landscaping program will qualify for landscaping screening.<\/li><\/ul><p>Details of the applications to amend the Planning Permit can be found by visiting the Ministerial permits register website at\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.planning.vic.gov.au\/planning-approvals\/ministerial-permits-register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">planning.vic.gov.au\/planning-approvals\/ministerial-permits-register<\/a>\u00a0and searching by the permit number (PA2001063, PA2001064, PA2001065 and PA2001066).\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Any person who may be affected by the proposed amendment can\u00a0object or make other submissions to the Planning Minster by email to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:development.approvals@delwp.vic.gov.au\">development.approvals@delwp.vic.gov.au<\/a>\u00a0or by post to Attention: Jeff Neville, 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne, VIC 3002.
