Working with the Latrobe Valley Authority, Latrobe City Council and the Gippsland Trades and Labour Council, we are mapping local industry capabilities and skills to ensure we have identified all the local businesses that may be able to support the construction of the wind farm.<br \/><br \/>The findings of this work will be provided to the head contractor once they are appointed to ensure they are aware of all the skills and capabilities available locally. The head contractor will then be expected to use this resource to identify potential subcontractors for the construction, operation and maintenance of the wind farm. Through this work, we aim to support the continuation of the Latrobe Valley\u2019s proud history of energy generation by providing employment opportunities in wind power.<br \/><br \/>We would like to thank the hundreds of local suppliers and individuals who have already expressed an interest in working with us. These details will form the initial basis of our capability mapping work. Any individual or business that has registered with us will be kept informed about tendering and employment opportunities as they arise.
