Work on the Delburn Wind Farm continues and we are addressing conditions set out in the planning permit\u00a0along with other key design, procurement and financial matters for the project to proceed to construction. This includes developing detailed bushfire mitigation, environmental, emergency and traffic management plans, background and noise monitoring,\u00a0telecommunications\u00a0and detailed design of road upgrades, cable layout and selection of turbines.<\/p>

The Strzelecki Community Alliance has lodged an appeal in the Supreme Court against planning permits being issued for the Delburn Wind Farm. The planning permits remain valid unless the court decides to overturn them; in the meantime development work will continue while the appeal is being heard.<\/p>

Visual Impact Assessments<\/strong><\/p>

Under the planning permit\u00a0conditions, there is an\u00a0allowance for landscape screening if the turbines are visible from a\u00a0dwelling located within 6km of a turbine.\u00a0A program to deliver landscaping screening will commence at the same time as construction and will be available until one year after construction is complete.<\/p>

Every resident that lives within 6km of a turbine is entitled to a visual impact assessment. They will receive a letter in the next week with an invitation for a visual assessment and to find out more about a landscaping plan to screen impacted views.\u00a0If you have recently moved within 6km of the wind farm area and you require a visual assessment, please email\u00a0contactus@osmi.com.au<\/a>\u00a0with the heading\u00a0Visual Assessment\u00a0and include your name, address and phone number\u00a0or call\u00a01800 676 428<\/a>.<\/p>
